Who better to talk about Craig Sams than his own daughter?
I once had to write a school paper on someone who greatly inspires me, and chose to write about my Dad. Not knowing that my 7th grade teacher was once a musical student under my Dad, I wrote a brief quick summary of my Dad explaining his many talents as a musician and success as a Father. My teacher read it through, handed it back with a big smile on his face... laughing, and said, "Write it again - Your Dad has seen and done way more.
At a young age, his Mom & Dad filled his ears with inspirational musicians such as Duke Ellington and Frank Sinatra. Age 8, he began with the violin; Age 14 - Clarinet; Age 12, he met his sweetheart.... "The Guitar" With Classical & Flamenco Guitar being his favorite to play, he traveled with a Spanish Dance Company during his mid 20's. Later to meet his lovely wife through teaching a Classical Guitar lesson he then married Debbie Laird (Sams). Teaching others music since his teenage years, woodwinds to brass to strings... Craig Sams, with his unique teaching style - has been, and still IS a patient, encouraging music teacher who takes great joy in seeing his students succeed far more than they imagined.
